031095

BASICS

Earth-031095 is a Spider-Man based Marvel fan-universe. It is set primarily in the 1920s and contains body and cosmic horror elements, as well as themes analyzing various forms of bigotry (mainly homophobia and ableism)- reader beware.

ENTITIES

WHAT IS AN ENTITY?

Entities are a god-like alien species who call 031095 home. They live up to about 100,000 years old, and at this point their evolution has plateaued. For their environment, they're the perfect species.

They have, what we would call, "true forms," bodies similar to their typical manifestations- except the fact that they're skyscraper sized. They stay on their home planet, millions of lightyears away from Earth. But those forms are more like storage devices for the "blood" that makes their real bodies- manifestations. Entities can have billions, and they are ever changing, but they tend to have similarities.

The few of these creatures that show up on Earth are almost confirmed to have ill intentions, whether they're planning to study humans like lab rats or torture them for fun like salting slugs.

Their blood is their biggest strength and weakness. It's not blood, really, it's liquid neurons. If enough of it is in anything they can control it- including humans- but if that thing is sentient they'll be able to, loosely, affect it back. On both sides, their blood causes difficulty connecting with the rest of their species, and intense- and practically incurable, unless you can shapeshift I guess- body dysphoria. Too much and it will literally turn you into a monster and burn your brain up! The blood also overloads your amygdala- if you can feel fear, you'll go insane by looking at the things.

Every Entity also has one to two "powers-" most of them are terrifyingly powerful and put humans at a deep disadvantage.

Powers

Personality:

Mr. Parker is... a complicated figure, personality-wise. His confrontations with the world beyond what most people know has made him exhausted, angry, morally grey, deeply paranoid, and horrifyingly guilty, and has made his connection with humanity shaky at best. He's, at most points, only motivated to continue living by his responsibility to his patron. However, his friends, partners, and family have managed to pull him off the brink of destruction and to a significantly healthier outlook on life.

Even before his choosing, he was a lifelong workaholic who got antsy when he had to sit down and rest. He used to be curious to a fault, but that has punished him a whole lot over the years, so he's a lot more careful today. He's booksmart- freakishly so- but he often struggles with communication and social intelligence, and he can often be extremely self-destructive. He often eats very little and sleeps less than four hours a night.

Mr. Parker is extremely good at deadpanning absurd and horrific situations, coming off as aloof and distant. He's very adaptable, but he can be very stubborn when not in life-or-death situations. No matter how skilled he is, though, he will worry relentlessly after his loved ones and understate his own achievements.

He also possesses a quick wit and a feisty attitude, often attributed to his upbringing, though his years in academia has made it a rare sight. His main forms of anger are passive aggression and what most people consider edgy one liners, but he can be petty, annoying, and often blatantly rude if you push him too far. However, he has a strong belief in keeping his judgement to the content of your character, so at the very least most of his insults are tasteful.

Backstory:

Mr. Parker was born on August 9th, 1880 to Mary and Richard Parker- two semi-popular scientists working in human biology. A month after Peter's birth the two were called for an emergency meeting across the country, and, while traveling, had a freak train accident, leaving Peter an orphan. He was adopted by his Aunt May and his Uncle Ben and soon adapted to the new home- currently, he only regards his orphan-hood as a distant tragedy.

He grew up an agreeable child, for the most part, but he was... odd. He often refused to eat anything outside of a scant 3 or 4 foods, he was incredibly anti-social, and he read with a strangely voracious passion. He got nearly all 100%s in school, but often got sent home for behavioral issues: specifically, for running out of the classroom when things got even slightly too loud.

Today, he regards these traits as what they were: blatantly obvious autism symptoms. He was often abused by his teachers and harassed by his peers for these actions, which began the intense masking he'd be doing for the rest of his life.

While he quickly straightened up his behavioral issues after a few traumatic incidents, Peter continued to have few real friends. He went into junior high a year early, sure, but he was abrasive and anti-social. May and Ben's poverty became increasingly obvious to to the preteen, and he began avoiding most foods again- not because he didn't like the textures or flavors, like before, but out of worry for his family's finances. His current avoidance can be linked back to this deeply-ingrained stressor- one of the many, many bad habits he gained from years of poverty.

He skipped another grade going into highschool, ending up significantly younger than most. This attracted more isolation and rejection from his peers, as well as a growth in his often-rude and often blatantly assholeish attitude. He grew a quick wit and a sharp tongue, and he became less of a victim of bullying and more like just a kid who got into too many fights. Due to his scrawny build and young age, he often lost those fights, ending up with almost permanent black eyes and broken noses throughout his highschool years.

In spite of his anger, he continued excelling in schoolwork, gaining a full ride to the University of Queens. He went to the college for Journalism, starting a short-lived internship with the Daily Bugle, but he was fired in three years due to his recklessness and because of repeated fights with his boss- one John Jonah Jameson. The rest of his college life would be spent working low-level cashier jobs.

He finished his Masters degree with flying colors at 22 years old, but the smattering of freelance and permanent positions he held over the next year would leave him dissatisfied. Inspired by some of his own professors, he went in for another degree- Higher Education. He was forced to pay for this one himself, and he would continue paying the loan off for nearly his entire life.

His teaching internships went significantly more smoothly, and he ended up with another Masters degree at 29. After another year, a position would open up at the University, and after one year as a TA he'd be promoted to a professor of journalism.

He quickly became friends with one Gwen Stacy, his coworker and a professor of Biological Engineering. Unlike most Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy relationships, this one was and is entirely platonic, outside of a single drunken kiss that caused Gwen to realize that she was a lesbian.

The next few years didn't go entirely smoothly, but they went normally, for the most part. Mr. Parker's life continued to be mostly lonely and isolated outside of a few family members, and he continued his own self-destructive habits. After four years, he was tenured, and he was fully convinced he'd continue as usual.

Fate had other plans.

Six months after his tenureship, Mr. Parker had a nightmare. He woke up in a tunnel of autumnal trees in shades of gray, with monochrome leaves scattering the ground. He felt strangely compelled to walk forwards, and he did, though he did it carefully. He entered a clearing, and came upon a large- 20ft tall, at least- spider-like being, surrounded by millions more silently working on various... historical artifacts? The large being began to speak, and Mr. Parker forgot to investigate further.

Mr. Parker has little to no memory of the exact script the being used, but he's sure he said something about fighting against its own kind, preserving the Earth, something along the lines of chosen one, and its title: the God of Metamorphosis. He woke up, and thought little to nothing of it. His blood sparked yellow, his hands stuck to almost everything, and he could crush almost everything with his bare hands. He blatantly ignored his new responsibilities for another 6 months, and honed his powers only to the point where he could live with them. The entire time, he hoped that it was a bad dream, or a paranoid delusion, or...

Anything except what he knew to be true. They were a long 6 months, and by the end he had almost convinced himself it was a delusion. Almost. He visited Ben- his uncle, and the only father figure he had ever known. He was found with his face torn half off, his clothes ripped, and with a vulture burrowing his beak inside his ribs. Mr. Parker wasn't scared- he couldn't be scared- he was just... angry. He ripped the bird in half-

The same yellow blood in his veins dripped through his fingers. His anger melted to guilt, he cleaned up what he could, and he called Aunt May. And then the police, and after both came to inspect the body, he left.

He got back to his apartment. Thousands of spiders were looking back at him. He screamed out for The God of Metamorphosis, and finally took his rightful place as its chosen one. His fate had been sealed.

Personality:

Amicable, friendly. Impulsive and reckless. Anger issues. Likes to be the center if attention- natural performer. Good at manipulation. Funny, but mostly as a coverup. Blunt.

Backstory:

Born in Ohio in 1903. The town was a nowhereville- a nowhereville unknowingly puppeted by 031095's version of Mysterio. Cecil's family- especially his grandmother- was deeply Catholic, instilling him with guilt he'll never truly recover from. He was fiercely rejected by his peers, and had little to no outlet other than his dad's old grand piano.

At 18, he moved to New York City- ostensibly for college, but he'd stay afterwards. He double majored- music and journalism, and the latter is where he met Mr. Parker. He visited his office one day- to ask for an essay extension- and ended up getting an eyeful of Mr. P's eldritch patron, Jonah. He went completely mad, and Jonah reversed it last minute by giving him his superpowers.

The next day- after finding out about the powers, Jonah hadn't told him- he begged Mr. Parker for an opportunity to help, and he took up a place as Jonah's (accidental) chosen one.

MARY-JANE “MJ” WATSON

Age: 46

Pronouns: She/they

Gender: Butch

Sexuality: Bisexual

Race: Irish

Occupation: College Theatre Director

Visual Reference:

Voiceclaim: Barrett Wilbert Weed

Medical Information:

Powers: N/A

Personality:

Outgoing, friendly, weird but.. mostly in a fun way? Outspoken, easily holds the spotlight. Natural leader. Compulsive liar. Commitment issues x1000. Curious to a fault. Has a bad habit of treating other people like science experiments or fictional characters- she's low empathy, but it's also a defense mechanism. Often forgetful.

Backstory:

Born in 1879 in... she doesn't actually know where she was born. She spent her childhood moving around the south and the southern side of the midwest, mostly in rural areas. Her father was a complete dickhead, and he was emotionally and occasionally physically abusive. MJ originally got into theatre as an outlet- and a way to get away from him.

Her mother left when she was 14, and her older sister soon after, leaving MJ alone to face her father's torment. She was desperate, and she was scared, and so 031095's Mysterio decided to use her for its own means.

The specifics of its presence on earth meant that her and her father posed a particular threat to it- so it convinced a young MJ to frame her father for murder. She did, beating a low level city official to death with a bat at the ripe age of 15. Her dad went to jail, and she went to NYC to live with her Aunt Anna.

She spent those years dedicated to her theatrical career, and dedicated to her semi-transition- her skirts were retired to the back of her closet, she chopped off her hair, and she soon abandoned shaving and any other attempt at femininity.

She went to college, got her doctorate in musical theatre and a masters in higher education, and soon started working for the same college as the theatre director.

She had a relationship with Gwen Stacy that ended in commitment-issues flavored flames, the last in a long line of failed relationships (not all ended because of her- but like, most of them did.)

Way later- nearish to current day, she started walking home with one Mr. Parker- they were coworkers, and both were workaholics that stayed at the college far too late. It was just for safety reasons, but they soon hit it off- and what was at first distant pining turned to a thick tension, broken by MJ asking him on a date- at the same time he confessed that he was the Spider. Whoops.

Thank god that MJ doesn't have a moral compass! She learned about the rest of 031095's everything on a dinner date, and the two quickly entered into a relationship. One that, surprisingly, didn't fail the same way they did before- for the both of them. Most of their flaws in other relationships turned into every-pot-has-a-lidisms- her tendency to treat people as inhuman works when she's not dating a person who considers himself as human! She's gotten quickly used to the Everything, but she still lies through her teeth about Mysterio and her father.

Age: 40

Pronouns: She/he

Gender: Nonbinary gay man

Sexuality: Homosexual

Race: British/Irish

Occupation: Unemployed

Powers:

Personality:

Often comes off as flat. Has a tendency to haunt places. Seems.. "out of it" often- spacey, dissociative. Deeply cynical. Pessimistic.

Backstory:

Born in 1884 to one Norman Osborn, at first, his life seemed like it would be a dream. While Oscorp was technically just a farming science company, it had its hands in many dubiously legal buckets, and had ties to the Kingpin's reign of terror. Due to this, the company made record profits- and controlled nearly all agricultural work in the state of New York.

Harry, unfortunately, got his right to inheritance taken away from him, by his own father. At a young age Harry developed severe schizophrenia (< what we would call it today im not figuring out what they called it), and Norman locked Harry into their mansion out of fear he'd corrupt the family name, leaving him housebound.

He spent 30-odd years rotting away in that house. Read their entire library 6 times over, made collages on his bedroom walls, spent hours talking to himself- unsurprisingly, the trapping made things worse for his mental health. Fuck you, Norman.

His relationship with his father decayed, and that was when one Mr. Parker knocked on the Osborn mansion door. The intent was to get an interview from Norman himself- but the older man was out on business, so Mr. P took the opportunity to interview his son. Interviews soon turned into a relationship, and the journalist would regularly visit for the next 6 months.

But Norman was, somehow, getting worse. He was getting into eldritch sacrifices now, and a distracted Mr.P didn't notice until Norman had given himself to the Chameleon, turning into the worst, most free version of himself. And then, the Goblin killed his own son- the only one that would be able to tell that that creature was once an Osborn. This was in vain- Mr. Parker killed him in cold blood the morning after.

The next 8 years Harry spent in a new prison, the Chameleon's realm. Norman had sacrificed him, too. He spent time stewing in his anger, and after years of desperate loneliness, he took Chameleon up on its offer.

Harry was both free and trapped, as the Goblin. He was forced to obey his worst impulses, and his worst? Wanting to kill his ex-love. He spent two years attempting to do that, until the spiders finally rescued him. Now, he's staying in Mr. P's guest room, and trying, desperately, to heal.
